Fire Cider History
Fire cider is a tonic made of a variety of herbs mixed with apple cider vinegar and honey to create a spicy, healthy beverage. Herbalist Rosemary Gladstar was the first to coin the term “fire cider” back nearly 50 years ago in the 1970s! Gladstar wanted to create a non-alcoholic tonic that boosted your immune system to add as a preventative measure during cold, damp winters.
Today, fire cider remains popular for its immune-boosting properties, providing a natural approach to protecting your body from nasty colds, flu, and even seasonal allergies.
