I love a glam make-up look, after all I am a pageant queen!  But, most days you won’t find me glammed up; in fact I’m usually wearing just a little make-up.  For everyday I gravitate today minimalist beauty with a natural beauty enhancing look.  I was excited when Merit Beauty offered me a partnership.  The brand is in line with my personal style and aesthetic.

Merit is a clean beauty brand with a minimalist aesthetic.  The make-up is designed to enhance one’s natural beauty with an understated, yet beautiful look.  The products are EU certified clean and contain no hormones or endocrine disrupting ingredients.  Their packaging is elegant and looks beautiful on my make-up counter.

Products I Use

I have several Merit products that I use.  I love all of them, and use them pretty much everyday.

  1. Perfecting Concealer Stick: I use this under my eyes and on my red spots (around my nose and cheeks).  I use a brush to blend it, and it blends beautifully.  I had no trouble matching my shade from the online description.
  2. Flush Balm- Cheek color:  This is a cream blush in an awesome package.  It is so EASY to apply.  I dab it on my cheek bones and then blend with a brush.  Wow!  It blends beautifully and the color is beautiful.  I’ve also dabbed it on my lips for a hint of understated color, with a clear lip oil over top.
  3. Shade Stick- tinted lip oil: Lip oil has replaced gloss as my new go-to.  This one is a new favorite.  The shade is beautiful and looks so natural.  It lasts a surprisingly long time and is very moisturizing.  Bonus: it has rosehip oil in it, which is one of my favorite herbal cosmetics.  Like seriously, it’s amazing stuff!
  4. Clean Lash Mascara: I hate crumbly mascara, and Merit’s is NOT crumbly.  So, it’s a win for me!  This mascara is easy to apply, looks natural, and is beautiful for enhancing the natural beauty of one’s eyes.  Plus, no smudging- ever.  It’s an Allure 2021 beauty award winner.
  5. Brow 1980 Volumizing Pomade: I have NO brows.  Well, I actually have brows, but they are blonde.  This product is great for me.  You comb it through your brows and it deposits color.  I love that it shapes my brows while also tinting them.  I color my brows with a pencil fist, and then use the Brow 1980 to add a bit more tint and shape them.
  6. Day Glow Highlight Balm: This is the highlighter you NEED.  I use it on cheekbones, bridge of my nose, and inner eye corners.  It blends beautifully and looks so pretty.  I love it over the flush balm.
I love the understated elegance of Merit’s products. Clean, natural, and minimal.
