Style Diaries: a simple date night look featuring faux leather shorts and patterned tights with faux leather croc boots.
Last night my husband took me out for a belated birthday dinner and drinks. I didn’t really have time to plan out an outfit so I pulled some of my favorite classic pieces and threw together this look at the last minute. Honestly, that’s how I style a lot of my outfits- busy mom here!
Anyway, I wanted to wear my new faux leather boots and decided I’d give my new patterned tights trend a try. I’ve been seeing patterned tights everywhere on my Pinterest feed, especially in posts with Victoria Beckham. I picked up a packet of patterned tights a while back on Amazon, so I would have some on hand when I was ready to wear them. It was a little chilly here last night so it was finally a good night to try them.
I added a pair of faux leather shorts (I’ve had this pair for around two years so I linked a similar pair), a tassel tie belt, and a fitted mock turtle neck in black. Basically, the look is just a mix of basics I already had on hand with a fun trend (the tights) added in. I love a simple, easy, look. Keeping it simple and stylish is how I like it!
